Thank you for visiting N2Arts; the online arts community and magazine for teens and young adults involved and interested in the performing and fine arts.
 

hat is it about the arts?  What inspires us to spend hours and hours in rehearsal, our nights and weekends in a dark theatre, and days on end writing, painting, and creating? Ask any artist or performer and they will tell you that they must act, dance, paint, write or sing. They know no other way to live. Our passion for the arts comes from deep inside us. We have to create, act, and perform. It feeds our soul and helps shape our character. We are actors, painters, dancers, writers, musicians, singers, sculptors, film makers, and artists. And we yearn to share our talents and gifts with the world.

While being a performing or fine artist brings great satisfaction, it can also create certain challenges. You face certain pressures and expectations that your non-artist friends don’t understand. You have to balance your school commitments with rehearsals and classes, rehearse when your friends are going out, and spend time working on your craft when you would rather be hanging out. You may also feel, act, or think differently than your non-arts friends.

That’s why we created N2Arts. N2Arts is an online community for teens and young adults who understand what it means to be an artist. It’s a refuge for those of us who “act” differently and want to share their experiences with other artists and performers. Here you will find articles about how to improve your abilities, advice about breaking into the professional world, and tips on “making it.” You will also meet new friends who share your interests in the arts.

Looking to start a band, post a message on one of our message boards for other like-minded musicians. Need a place to display your photographs, paintings, or writing? Sign up for one of our free online galleries. We will give you free Web space to post your work and share it with friends, family, and the world. Or just spend time learning from our experts. We have articles written by master dance teachers, professional actors, award-winning writers, and dozens of other professional artists. These are people who actually get paid to act, dance, sing, or paint.

The N2Arts community was created for you. We want your feedback. Please tell us what you need in an arts community. Have a recommendation for an article, let us know. Want us to add a new feature to the site? We can do that. Just want to say “hello,” send us an email. And if you would like to write for the site, we would love to see your stuff. Send us articles or ideas for articles. We are open to any idea.
